a community councilor, farmer, businessperson or a homeowner, our aim is to

Programs PST exemption on Small-Scale Renewable Energy Equipment There is a PST exemption on
small-scale renewable energy equipment with a rating of 100 kilowatts or less
(100 kilowatts = 340,000 BTUs). Items which are exempt from provincial sales
tax include: ·

biogas energy generating systems ·
ground-source or geothermal heat pump energy generating systems ·
solar thermal energy collection systems ·

Challenge Renewable
Lifestyles will be offering rewards to pilot communities with the will to
install renewable energy equipment on the residences and businesses of the
community. The rewards for each pilot project will be determined based upon
the needs of the specific community. For example, if a community installs 50
solar hot water heating systems Renewable Lifestyles will donate and install
a wind turbine to power the community center or a solar water heating system
for the community pool, etc. Anyone interested in starting this program in
their own community should contact the appropriate local community
