Section four of the program addresses facilities development, and includes the following options: 1. Major New Facility Construction/Major Upgrades (Project cost more than $5,000) • 25% of costs to a maximum of $50,000 2. Minor New Facility Construction/Upgrades (Projects cost less than $5,000) • 50% of costs to a maximum of $2,500 3. Facility Design Plans • 50% of costs to a maximum of $2,500 Energy Meters: Energy Meters for home energy use now available from the Provincial Library or from the Office of Energy Efficiency. PST Exemption: The Province of Prince Edward Island provides a PST exemption on small-scale renewable energy equipment with a rating of 100 kilowatts or less (100 kilowatts). Tax Incentive for Hybrid Vehicles: The Province of PEI offers a provincial sales tax rebate of up to $3,000 on hybrid vehicles purchased or leased since March 30, 2004. For more click here.
