A global movement is underway to phase out the use plastic bags.  Prince Edward Island may soon introduce its own set of restrictions on the use of plastic bags.  Islanders are already taking the initiative to join the movement.  A provincial MLA, has made this issue a priority.  ECO-PEI supports the initiatives taken, as well the inititiatives taken by the thousands of Islanders who have already made the switch to durable, reusable bags.

Why do we want to move away from plastic bags?
